Maple Album privacy
Secure Key Share
Maple Album encrypts every private album key before it leaves a trusted device. When someone joins your album, an existing member shares only the encrypted key material needed for that person's device to unlock album content.
You stay in control
Pending devices cannot access private posts until an album member approves the request.
Keys remain protected
Shared keys are wrapped for the new member's device, so they are not sent as plain text.
Verify before sharing
Check the member name and fingerprint before approving a device you recognize.
What happens when you tap Share Key?
Your device decrypts the album key locally, re-encrypts it for the pending member's public device key, and sends that wrapped key to Maple Album. The server stores the wrapped key but cannot read the original album key.
